Tipping, made transparent

Know what to tip, anywhere.

Payment screens now suggest 18%, 20%, even 25%. TipLens shows what people actually tipped, what the terminal suggested, and whether they felt pressured, before you pay.

A place in TipLens showing high tip pressure, an expected tip of 18–20%, and an average actual tip of 13%

One look tells you the tip pressure.

Every place gets a simple signal built from real reviews: how often the terminal pushes a tip, how high it starts, and how people felt about it.

Low pressure

Tipping is optional here and nobody makes it awkward. Tip what feels right.

Moderate pressure

Expect a prompt on the terminal. Good to know the going rate before you tap.

High pressure

The screen starts high and the moment can feel loaded. Decide your amount in advance.

Everything you need before the terminal turns around.

Built for locals who are tired of guessing and travellers who don't know the rules yet.

Questions

Is TipLens free?

Yes. TipLens is supported by a small banner and clearly labelled "Sponsored" cards. No pop-ups or full-screen ads.

Do I need an account?

No. Searching, the map and every tipping guide work without signing in. You only need a free account (Google or email, plus Apple on iPhone) to write reviews and save favourites.

Where does the tip data come from?

From people like you. Each review records what was tipped, what the terminal suggested and how it was left (card or cash). Country guides combine published guidance with what the community reports, and they're updated as customs change.

Is TipLens telling me how much to tip?

No. It shows you what's normal so you can decide with confidence. Tipping is always your choice.

Is it available on iPhone and Android?

Yes. Download TipLens free on the App Store or Google Play.

I own a business listed in TipLens. Can I claim it?

Yes. Open your place in the app and tap "Claim this business". Claimed places get a badge. Owners can't remove reviews or change community statistics, which keeps the data honest.

How do I delete my account?

In the app, go to Profile → Delete account. Your account, reviews and favourites are removed straight away. See Support for other options.
